We are introducing ReadyCMS Version 3.0.34, which brings major updates to our rich-text editor and some improvements to the eCommerce insights dashboard.

What’s new

TinyMCE editor update

Significant updates to the TinyMCE editor within our CMS platform aim to enhance your editing experience, improve performance, and ensure your content creation process is seamless and efficient.

Here’s what’s new:

1. New Features
   • Bootstrap grid layouts: With our new Grid Layouts dropdown, you can easily insert and manage Bootstrap grid layouts directly from the editor. Choose from multiple predefined grid options, including 2, 3, and 4 columns, to structure your content with flexibility and precision.
   • Enhanced mobile experience: The TinyMCE toolbar and menu have been optimized for mobile devices, ensuring a seamless editing experience on any device. The mobile toolbar now supports sliding mode, making accessing a wide range of tools on smaller screens easier.
2. Improvements
   • Streamlined toolbar: We've refined the editor toolbar, removing less commonly used tools to simplify the interface and enhance usability. Essential functions are now front and center, making accessing the tools you use most faster and easier.
   • Custom grid button: Introducing a custom button for inserting Bootstrap grids, enhancing the ease of creating responsive layouts within your content.
   • Updated content styles: Additional content CSS has been integrated, including support for Bootstrap, to ensure that the styling within the editor closely matches the output on your live site, providing a 'what you see is what you get' experience.
3. Security and performance enhancements
   • Improved content security: We've removed image and media upload functionalities and shifted focus to secure URL embeds, enhancing security and performance.
   • Faster load times: By optimizing the plugins and reducing the complexity of the toolbar, we've significantly decreased the editor's load times, making it quicker than ever to start creating content.
   • PowerPaste enhancements: Updates to the PowerPaste plugin ensure cleaner content import from Word or HTML documents, reducing formatting issues and maintaining content integrity.
4. Accessibility
   • Advanced accessibility options: Enhanced accessibility features are now better than ever, ensuring all users can navigate and use the editor effectively.

Enhanced eCommerce insights dashboard

We've made some enhancements to the eCommerce insights dashboard to provide deeper and more actionable insights. This update focuses on the "Locations" tab, which has been improved to highlight better where your orders are coming from.

• Extended viewing options: You can now expand the lists of top locations and products. Initially showing the top 5 entries, users can click the "Expand" button to reveal the top 20 results for each list, offering a broader view of where demand is concentrated and which products are performing best in those areas.
